Saori Ichihara X Vulkana Supper Club - Day 2

The Vulkana Supper Club hosts the best of the Nordics and Europe's culinary talents monthly in the setting of an old whaling vessel converted into a state-of-the-art spa boat. A place for people to come together in the intimate environment of a dinner party, create memories and experience unforgettable culinary moments.

We are returning this June, more inspired than ever, with Japanese chef Saori Ichihara, head chef and co-owner of the former Ichi, a Michelin-approved restaurant in Stockholm. Saori was born in Osaka in 1989 and moved to Sweden in 2014, bringing with her all their culinary backgrounds and creating a new culinary wave where Nordic and Japanese cuisine meets in complete harmony, following sustainability and zero waste principles. Elegant but understated, ambitious but balanced – her dishes are not only visually stunning but also an example of the knowledge and attention to detail that pervade Saori's whole idea of cooking.

Before her own adventure with ICHI, Saori worked at some of Sweden's most raved-about places, including Esperanto (*) and Oaxen Krog (**), and she has also been the winner of the Stella-award 2018 for Best Female Chef and was awarded 2018 Year's Star from White Guide 2018.

We will serve a tasting menu alongside wine pairing. The use of all the spa facilities on board (sauna, hot tub, and hammam) are included in the package. Bring your own swimming suit; robe, towels, and slippers are provided by Vulkana.
